The First And Best Blessing Of God

the first and best blessing of God - everythinggospel1.blogspot.com

Dear Friend

Have you ever wondered which of God's blessing is the best or maybe the first?

We hear people today testify of different blessings from God in their lives and one just tends to wonder sometimes, 'what is the most important blessing a man (human) can receive from God'
Is it a house, car, wife, husband, children, job, promotion or what what?

As in, what really is the best blessing from God?

This is what we will be looking at in this post.

The apostle Peter in responding to the crowd that gathered to see and marvel at the lame at the beautiful gate that got healed, made a statement that will help solve this riddle.

In Acts 3:12 the apostle said " ye men of Israel, why marvel you at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we have made this man to walk?

Verse 26: Unto you first, God haven raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Now, according to the verses of Scripture we just read, Peter, seeing that the people were being ecstatic about the blessing of a lame man being healed, found a way to make this people understand what is the first, best, and most important blessing a man would receive from God and that is, "turning away every one of you from his iniquities"

Haven stated the above, dear friend, permit me to say that every other blessing (which is very good and worth celebrating) that we receive from God is secondary. The first, best and most important blessing of God is SALVATION.

Being turned away from iniquity and accepting the Lordship of Jesus Christ is superior to buying of car, getting a new job, marrying your heartthrob, healing, deliverance and the like.

This is because, except a man be born again, he can not access the kingdom of God (John 3:3) and what shall it profit a man if he gains every other blessing in the world and lose his soul.

Remember, gain is not godliness and being healed is not synonymous with holiness. For without holiness, no man shall see God.

Appreciate God for every blessing you've received but, yet, cleave to the first, best and most important blessing of God which is, "turning away from iniquity"

Hope this makes sense?

Cheers
